The Display.Church FILTERS design feature from the monthly, weekly, and events list calendar views has “populated” itself to our other views: Cards (Grid), Cards (List), and Slider.

Why filters?

Perhaps you have posted a general calendar on your church website. In other words, you are showing all the events in your church. Offering your people filters allows them to just see the particular events which interest them.

This does not change your website calendar. It just changes what that person is seeing at that moment.

There are 4 design elements you can “mix and match” show or hide.

Show filter names

This displays any filters you chose in Setup.

Show filters

This is the filter toggle switch. When a person clicks it on, they will see further choices as per your integration, so they can filter as desired.

Month & year

Displaying this information helps to make sure that your people are on the calendar page they think they are on.

Navigation

These arrows move through your calendar pages. They adapt themselves to the calendar view to some extent. For example, in a monthly calendar, these arrows will scroll month by month. For a weekly calendar, however, they will scroll week by week.

SNEAK PEAK… Besides being really helpful to your calendar viewers, our filters expansion is also due to an exciting upcoming feature. Remember those new badges we mentioned a while ago? (If not, check them out here.) So, those badges can display on the main calendar view and/or the events listing (pop up/accordion).

Soon, you will also be able to set up a separate HEADER SECTION (you can think of it as a banner) to further highlight selected events. Stay tuned!
