WHAT’S NEW

Show the Next 7 Days—or Up to 31 Days—of Events

Your calendar should help people see what’s coming next, without extra work to keep it current.

We recently introduced the First Day of the Week setting to give churches more flexibility in how their calendars organize the week. Display.Church While that approach works for Full Calendar and Weekly views, a conversation with one church highlighted a different need for card and list layouts.

The church was using a Cards widget in its member hub to display meetings and events for the current week. But because that week started on Sunday, the Sunday gathering remained visible for the following six days—even though members were already looking ahead to the next one.

Limiting the widget to a set number of upcoming events wasn’t the right fit either. Some weeks had three events; others had ten or twenty. They needed a consistent date range, not a fixed event count.

A rolling window of upcoming events

We’ve added a “Show the Next … Days” option that lets you display events within the next 1–31 days, with 7 days selected by default.

Choose seven days for a look at the week ahead, or expand the range to show more upcoming activities. The window moves forward as the days advance, rather than staying tied to a fixed Sunday-to-Saturday week.

Show the next seven days of events—not just the next seven events. There’s no need to keep adjusting the event count as your church’s schedule gets busier.

Where to find it

In your widget editor, go to Design → Events, turn off Infinite Scroll where that option is available, and select “Show the Next … Days.” Enter a number between 1 and 31.

This option supports Cards Grid, Cards List, Cards Slider, Event List, and Detailed List widgets.

Rather than changing which day starts the week, this setting gives these layouts a flexible, forward-looking date range. It’s another improvement shaped by your feedback and the ways your churches use Display.Church every day.
